Playing on Sympathies

So I was checking my email this morning and see the little new blurps out to the side... And lo' and behold I see this great title to a new story Obama calls on US to renew 9/11 spirit of service - first thought in my head was "jerk" then I thought "well I ought to at least read the artice before I label..." So I read said article listed below for those who would like to read the article themselves. So I read about how both canidates are going to call an amistance to their negative ad campains today and all that I could think was "that's great let's honnor those ppl by not saying bad things about each other...." sometimes I wonder if politicians actually think what a concept right? I mean seriously trash talking really isn't getting either party anywhere, at least I think, and makes them look more like elementary school bullies. So onward through the article I see Obama's blurp that caused this whole article and you know there isn't a McCain article from this point...... Maybe he hasn't had time yet as it is only 10:30 east coast time, but I'm thinking this is kinda low. Trying to get sympathy points because we want to renew this sprit of what not-ness.... And if that really was a dig at Bush that we haven't gotten those darn terrorists yet I'm kinda wondering if we ever will. I mean they're very sneaky those terrorists, kinda like American Revolutionaries... hmmm maybe I shouldn't have written that, but I think it is low to try to win votes this way. Just get through this day with out campaining... hmmm.. I'm probably asking for too much....

Pondering Thoughts

So right now I'm reading The Rapture: Exposed and it brings in these great questions to my mind like: Who are these people who have such a crazy view on the rapture? or better yet Why is this such a big deal that this lady feels the need to write this book? Cause I mean seriously, think about it say, for the sake of the arguement that you don't believe in the rapture of the church. Say you're standing on the ground that the Bible doesn't specifically state "and Christ will come back and take good following Christians away durning the time of tribualation." Then the "Great Tribulation" happens and you get raptured because you were a "real live" Christian and you're like "oh well guess that rapture stuff was true after all sweet!" Ok, so that's that point of view, no harm no foul. Now the person who is also the "real live" Christian but believes that there will be this rapture of the church say they're walking around and things have been going down in the world and what not and then all at once they see these huge locus that are attacking everybody (Rev. 9:3-5). This person is like "ok, well guess that rapture stuff didn't work out, but hey these locus aren't attacking me so I must be alright!" So once again no harm no foul... course there is that whole beheading thing.... I'm still working my way through this book and then I plan on going back through the "apcolypictical texts" and figuring it out from there, but I'm kinda going at it with a "does this really even matter that much" attitude, cause I mean "scarying people to Jesus" isn't ever the best way to reach anybody.... and further more we're talking 7yrs here then hell... I think hell would be a much bigger sale tactect for the scarying since it like lasts for forever......
